A Note From The Captain

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to the Anchors Nursery School website. I hope that the website will give you an insight into our nursery.

My background in early years care and education began in 1979 at Norland College. On graduation I went about gaining valuable experience with the under 8s, both working as a nanny with private families and in day nurseries in London. I ran a successful nursery school in London for eight years, before moving to Rotherwick and opening Anchors in 1996.

My aim has always been to provide each child with a solid foundation for him or her to navigate successfully the competitive outside world. What I have always believed is now fully recognised; that a child’s earliest experiences at home and in the nursery form their future attitude to learning.

Ultimately I hope that each child leaving Anchors will have gained the social skills and desire to learn that will be developed throughout their lives.

We have tried to include on this website as much information about how we operate as we can. Should you have any more questions please do not hesitate to contact me, or better still arrange a visit and see us under full sail. I look forward to meeting you and your child.
